Collecting data from farms

Collection

Data collection
within the farm

Kumulus collects all types of livestock data from all sources. These data come from data capture in the farm (web / mobile solutions), farm equipment, connected objects (IoT) or even web data.

The technology has a dedicated IT infrastructure hosted in France. The company uses the best tools on the market to guarantee optimal security of the data collected.

Each data is identified from the collection phase to ensure that the data is watertight for each of the two partners, CCPA and TECHNA, and for their customers. Confidentiality and traceability are respected throughout the process.

02
Analyze farm data

Analysis

Analysis of the data collected from the farms

Kumulus checks the input format of the data received. As the data sources are heterogeneous, it is essential to verify the expected data beforehand.

The data is then processed and cleaned to guarantee the quality of the databases. Value checks are carried out, for example, to remove outliers.

The livestock data ecosystem is in full evolution. Kumulus works proactively with the various data providers.

03
Store the breeding data

Storage

Storage and structuring of farm data

Contextualizing the data is essential in the Kumulus process. The objective is to determine whether the data meets a breeding problem.

This structuring work is done through the Kumulus back-office, a solution made available to each of the two partners, CCPA and TECHNA, and to their customers. Through this interface, the events in breeding can be consulted on computer and mobile (iOS and Android).

Additional standard and specific indicators can be calculated at this stage according to the needs.

04
To make available the data from the farms

Provision of services

Provision of breeding data

Kumulus offers two solutions: a data entry tool for livestock and / or "dynamic" data captured on farms. Data recovery is done through API libraries and an API Manager, accessible via the web and the mobile application developed by Kumulus.

Ensuring the security of exchanges, controlling data consumption and respecting response times are crucial issues for Kumulus.

Then, it is up to its partners to exploit and enhance the data produced by Kumulus: deployment of specialized software, applications for smartphones and decision support tools for the ruminant, pig and poultry industries.

The Kumulus team

The Kumulus team is experienced and works with a network of data and sensor partners. It also collaborates with the teams of these two current partners, CCPA and TECHNA.

As a start-up, Kumulus is recruiting new talent to continue its development in data and digital to serve the actors of agricultural industries.

Working at Kumulus, you will have the opportunity to manage innovative projects that call on your analytical and technical skills. All this with passionate collaborators!
